Spot the Squirrel

I grew up with squirrels but we don't seem to have them here in Japan.

Except when you're walking along the river in Shinjuku...you'll spot a few squirrels sitting on a road block while enjoying their afternoon snack.

  1. Lovely, they seem quite taken in their eating...

  2. Don't recall seeing many, if any, squirrels anywhere in Asia, really. Oh, did see one in Delhi... :-D

[Don't know if you have any interest in business, but McKinsey just published their quarterly newsletter with focus on Japan: http://www.mckinseyquarterly.com/newsletters/2011_07.html]

  4. Lucky squirrels are so cute, or they'd be the bane of my existence. Born thieves.

  5. I much prefer your Japanese squirrels! They just sit there looking so adorable. As you well know but may not agree with, ours are little devils of destruction. Every Spring they munch off all our rhododendron flower buds. Imo, they're tree rats with fuzzy tails.
    Have a happy day Kaori!

  6. I also love your squirrels! I don't see them around the house because it's too open where I live, but when I'm hiking I see them regularly.

  8. 街中でこのようなマスコットを見つけると嬉しくなって近寄り、思わず撫でてしまのは私だけではないようですね。この子のおでこもお腹もツルツルですから。(´m`;) それでもスナックを手放さないのもいいですね。

  9. The squirrels here in Toronto are black. They kind of freak me out when I see them dancing in my yard. :)
    These statues are cute.
